San Carlos de Bariloche International Airport: Take My Bus line 72 from outside the terminal via the central bus station to El Centro: roughly 25–40 minutes, depending on traffic and your stop. It was AR$5,800 in December 2025; fares move quickly in Argentina, so treat that as a benchmark, not a current quote. Pay with a contactless debit/credit card or SUBE card. A shared minibus only makes sense if your hotel is far west along Avenida Bustillo or you arrive with bulky ski gear.
Terminal de Ómnibus de Bariloche (long-distance bus terminal): Use a My Bus local service into El Centro rather than taking an unpriced taxi at the terminal; the terminal is on the east side of town and the centre is a short urban-bus ride away. Long-distance buses are the practical overland arrival: Buenos Aires is an exhausting 19–22 hours; Chilean services to Osorno/Puerto Montt take about 6–8 hours plus border uncertainty.
San Carlos de Bariloche railway station: The station is about 2 km west of the centre: take a short taxi/remís or walk if you are travelling light and conditions are good. The weekly Tren Patagónico from Viedma is a scenic, slow 19-hour journey—not a sensible transfer if time matters.
