The Louvre does not publish a fixed ticket-release window. Book online as soon as Paris dates are firm, especially for 09:00 slots, school holidays, Easter, May weekends, July–August, and free Friday evenings.

Free entry: Free timed tickets are available for under-18s of all nationalities; EEA citizens/residents aged 18–25; disabled visitors plus one accompanying person; and specified eligible groups. All visitors enter free on 14 July and on the first Friday of each month from 18:00, except July and August. Reservations are compulsory for free Friday evenings and are posted only a few days beforehand. Bring original valid ID or eligibility documentation.

Sold out? First, search official availability for another time the same day, a Wednesday or Friday evening, or another date; also check whether you qualify for a free timed ticket. Next, check official Louvre activities with remaining capacity. If using a third-party seller or guided operator, use only a legitimate timed product and understand that nobody skips security screening; avoid mirror sites, street sellers, and purported queue-jump tickets, as unauthorized resale can lead to refused entry.
