Rajouri Garden and Raja Garden
Base · 1–6 days
West Delhi’s best all-round base for market browsing, Punjabi food, desserts, malls and a proper evening out. It is loud and commercial, but the Blue–Pink Line interchange makes it the least awkward place to stay without a car.
Punjabi Bagh and Club Road
Short stop · 1 day
Come for big Punjabi dinners, grills, bars and wedding-season energy rather than sightseeing. Bharat Darshan Park adds a worthwhile short family stop, but Club Road is chiefly for booking a dinner and lingering over it.
Tilak Nagar, Hari Nagar and Jail Road
Short stop · 1 day
The strongest ground-level food area in the district: chole bhature, kulcha, kebabs, chaap, sweets and busy local-market eating. Go hungry and accept crowded pavements, patchy hygiene and very little tourist hand-holding.
Kirti Nagar and Mansarovar Garden
Base · 1–2 days
Delhi’s serious furniture, lighting, hardware and interiors-shopping district. It is compelling if you are buying, sourcing or hunting design ideas; otherwise it is a tiring collection of scattered showrooms rather than a sightseeing stop.
Moti Nagar, Madipur and Bharat Darshan Park
Base · 1–2 days
Use this area for Bharat Darshan Park, a 1½–2 hour evening diversion with scrap-metal replicas of Indian monuments. Treat it as playful public-art/theme-park entertainment, not heritage interpretation.
Tagore Garden and Subhash Nagar
Short stop · 1 day
A practical mall-and-cinema extension of Rajouri Garden, especially useful in harsh heat or rain. It is generic retail Delhi, so it belongs only on a relaxed itinerary or one built around families and downtime.
Paschim Vihar and Peeragarhi
Short stop · 1 day
A sensible hotel base for weddings, business or family visits west of Punjabi Bagh, with fuller-service stays and easy road access. It is spread out and car-dependent, with little reason to visit purely for wandering.
Patel Nagar and Shadipur
The practical eastern edge of West Delhi for splitting time between this district and central Delhi. Choose it for transport, rail or business convenience, not for a concentrated food-and-shopping outing.
Nangloi and Mundka
Short stop · 1 day
The industrial and warehouse-heavy western fringe, worth the trip only for relatives, work, wholesale buying or a specific community connection. It is not a useful conventional tourist base and should not be added just to tick off West Delhi.
The honest first visit
1 full dayRajouri Garden and Raja Garden (5-6 hours) → Moti Nagar, Madipur and Bharat Darshan Park (2 hours) → Punjabi Bagh and Club Road (1 evening)
For a first look at what West Delhi actually does well: market browsing, a proper Punjabi lunch, a short after-dark park visit and an unhurried dinner. Do not try to cram in the outer districts.

2 daysRajouri Garden and Raja Garden (1 morning and lunch) → Tagore Garden and Subhash Nagar (1 afternoon) → Punjabi Bagh and Club Road (1 evening) → Kirti Nagar and Mansarovar Garden (1 morning) → Tilak Nagar, Hari Nagar and Jail Road (1 afternoon and evening)
The best two-day version for diners and shoppers. Day one stays in the central, easy-to-navigate belt; day two gives Kirti Nagar its proper early start, then finishes with the district's strongest local-market eating.

Built for travellers with an actual reason to be here—an event, relatives or business—not monument collectors. Paschim Vihar works if obligations are west of Punjabi Bagh; otherwise use Rajouri Garden as the hotel base and treat Paschim Vihar as an event stop.
Plan this routePurpose-led repeat visit: interiors and local food
4-5 daysRajouri Garden and Raja Garden (1 day) → Kirti Nagar and Mansarovar Garden (1-2 days) → Tilak Nagar, Hari Nagar and Jail Road (1 evening) → Punjabi Bagh and Club Road (1 evening) → Paschim Vihar and Peeragarhi (1 half-day) → Nangloi and Mundka (1 half-day, only for a specific appointment)
Only worthwhile if you are furnishing a home, visiting family, working remotely or handling wholesale business. Kirti Nagar merits real time for serious sourcing; Nangloi and Mundka belong here only when there is a concrete reason to go.
