Guadalajara International Airport Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla: Skip the prepaid airport-transfer pitch if you are travelling light: take the local airport bus toward Central Vieja/Agua Azul (roughly 30–45 minutes in normal traffic, about MX$10–15). From there, use a short DiDi/Uber or Mi Transporte connection to your hotel. With substantial luggage, an authorized airport taxi or pre-booked car is the sensible upgrade; the airport is 18 km south and rush hour can make a cheap ride painfully slow.
Central de Autobuses Guadalajara (Nueva Central), Tlaquepaque: This is the main long-distance terminal. Walk across the parking area to Mi Tren Line 3’s Central de Autobuses station; westbound trains reach the Centro area (notably Plaza Fundadores/Independencia) in roughly 20–30 minutes for about MX$10. It is markedly better than taking a taxi through traffic.
Central Vieja (Old Bus Station): Regional buses for places such as Tequila, Chapala and Mazamitla use this older terminal south of Centro. It is close to San Juan de Dios but the immediate area has a poor security reputation: take a short Uber/DiDi or licensed taxi to your accommodation, especially after dark, rather than walking with bags.
