Tulum International Airport: Take the direct ADO bus to Tulum Centro: roughly 45–50 minutes and M$200–290. It is the sensible solo-traveler transfer; airport taxis and prebooked private cars cost dramatically more. For the beach zone, arrange a hotel transfer or take the bus to town, then a taxi—there is no useful all-day public shuttle network along the hotel strip.
Cancún International Airport: Use the direct ADO bus to Tulum rather than a private airport taxi: about 2 hours and roughly M$330, though fares should be checked when booking. A direct taxi can take 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes but has been quoted around M$2,500–3,000, before any hotel-zone complications.
Tulum Tren Maya station: Useful if you are arriving from Cancún, Chichén Itzá, Mérida or farther afield on Tren Maya. The rail link is good for intercity travel, not a seamless city-centre transfer: confirm the onward shuttle/taxi before committing, especially for a beach hotel. The separate airport station is about 45 minutes by road from Tulum town.
