For 2026 seasonal lotteries, apply February 13–25 for March 1–May 31 hikes; April 1–20 for June 1–August 31; July 1–20 for September 1–November 30; and October 1–20, 2026 for December 1, 2026–February 28, 2027. For a last-minute hike, submit the day-before lottery application between 12:01 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Mountain Time the day before; results arrive by 4:00 p.m. Apply with several ranked dates/times in the seasonal lottery.

Free entry: Children age 15 and under enter Zion National Park free when entering on foot or by bicycle. Angels Landing’s chained ridge still requires a permit.

Sold out? Public Angels Landing permits are lotteries rather than first-come sales. If unsuccessful in the seasonal lottery, enter the day-before lottery the day before your planned hike. If no permit is awarded, hike to Scout Lookout (no Angels Landing permit required) or continue on the West Rim Trail. Do not buy or accept a public permit from another person: permits are non-transferable and ranger ID checks are routine.
