Time: Any open hours with a 3–4 hour window; arrive at opening on summer weekends, holidays, and school-break days to reduce entry and gallery congestion. · Later in the visit, spend time on the outdoor decks when conditions are clear enough for bay views.
Avoid: Winter rain and wind can make the exterior decks, trail walks and coastal pairing unpleasant, though the indoor Aquarium remains viable.
